Insurance confirmed with the insurer
We call the insurer directly — not the contractor. We confirm the policy number, the named insured, that coverage is a minimum $2M CGL, and that the policy is currently active. A document upload is not sufficient. We require ContraGo to be noted as Certificate Holder so we're notified of any cancellation.

WSIB clearance and consumer checks
Active WSIB standing confirmed at clearances.wsib.ca. Contractors claiming sole-operator exemption must provide a written letter from WSIB — a verbal claim is not accepted. Every applicant is also cross-referenced against Ontario's Consumer Beware List. Any conviction under the Consumer Protection Act is an automatic rejection.
